1) What is the first article’s thesis (main argument)?

2) What are some major topics the author discusses in order to support the article’s thesis? What specific evidence is used to develop these topics?

3) What is the second article’s thesis (main argument)?

4) What are some major topics the author discusses in order to support the article’s thesis? What specific evidence is used to develop these topics?

5) Taking into account both articles, what kinds of variables make up the complex landscape of activism to address environmental inequality today? Do the authors have a similar take on the role of local, direct action protests, and/or do they differ? How do both authors use the history of environmental activism to make their case for what should be done moving forward?
