The third paper gives you the choice to write about the CSUN campus or a place that is meaningful to you. If possible, I would suggest writing about the same thing each week so you can use your journal posts for the third paper.

 

 

For your post, you should do two things:

 

 

1. Identify a specific example of a public monument or memorial: This can be a monument, memorial, or museum. You can use something on CSUN’s campus (there are a couple of memorials and monuments to the Northridge earthquake, for example), or another place that you are familiar with, such as a public statue, a graveyard/cemetery, a museum, or another memory place. I would suggest using someplace you have actually been to make the connection to the reading easier.

 

2. Connect that example to a specific concept from the Blair reading(ATTACHED): The post shouldn’t just mention rhetoric in general – choose a specific concept from one of the readings for week 11, provide a quote from the reading, and explain how we see that concept in the example you chose.
